B. Donald Kimball, Inc. was started in October of 1999 by Bruce D. Kimball and his wife Edwina D. Kimball. Bruce Kimball is known by his friends as Bruce yet the company emphasizes his middle name, Donald. This is in honor of his father Donald S. Kimball. Bruce has 25 years of IT experience, including positions as VP and IT Director for a large financial institution, IBM Systems Engineer and President of a large IBM business partner firm. Bruce's passion has always been software development. As a result B. Donald Kimball, Inc. derives nearly 90% of their gross revenue from custom software development and consulting services.

While software and services are the focal point of B. Donald Kimball, Inc., the company also offers a variety of quality hardware and software products from leading vendors at affordable prices for their customers.

While the company remains small, B. Donald Kimball, Inc. has added a number of key personnel. BDK, Inc.'s employee are among the best in the industry. Many hold key professional certifications. B. Donald Kimball, Inc. is an IBM Solution Provider for the iSeries 400, formerly the AS/400. BDK, Inc. uses Avnet Computer Products, IBM's number one iSeries distributor, to source all of their iSeries products.

B. Donald Kimball, Inc. is a Lansa Solution Provider. Lansa is the leader in iSeries 400 development tools. Lansa's products allow developers to produce, Visual, Web, or traditional Text based applications for the iSeries 400. All development is done with Lansa's 4th generation development language, RDML.
